GFRP (Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer) Rebar

GFRP (glass fibre reinforced polymer) rebar is a substitute for steel round and deformed bars, certified to TIS 2973-2562. It suits work exposed to moisture, water or chemicals and on-ground works, e.g. reinforced concrete, slabs on ground, roads, car parks, warehouses, runways, retaining walls, irrigation canals, slab-on-beam, footings, piles, piers and bridges.

Properties

  • Corrosion, acid and alkali resistant; does not rust
  • Tensile strength 2–3 times that of steel (GFRP 500–1,200 MPa vs steel 250–550 MPa)
  • 3–4 times lighter than steel
  • Sizes 4–12 mm, made to the required length up to 100 m
  • Long service life of up to 80 years

CPS is certified for Carbon Footprint for Organization (CFO) and ISO 14001.
